Nightly rates for the three-bedroom, two-bath home, which sleeps up to six people, are $385 with two-night minimum and $350 for three to five. A six-night stay is $1,900. The Sheraton Sonoma County-Petaluma (707-283-2900, www.sheraton.com/sonomaoffers) is offering a Valentine’s Romance package that includes breakfast for two (room service or in Tolay), champagne and strawberries delivered to the room, and a 4 p.m. checkout. Nightly package room rates start at $139. At the Vintner’s Inn, a two-night My Sparkling Valentine package is valid Feb. 13-14 and includes a fireplace room overlooking the winter gardens, a bottle of sparkling wine and six chocolate-covered strawberries.

Landmark Vineyards (707-833-0053, www.landmarkwine.com) is offering a two-night Romance Among the Vines package with cottage accommodations, dinner for two a guided hike in Sugarloaf State Park with a picnic lunch, an in-room couple’s massage, a private tour of the estate vineyard, and VIP wine tasting at area wineries via a chauffeured 1950s Cadillac convertible. The package is priced at $2,500.

At Dawn Ranch (707-869-0656, www.dawnranch.com), couples who book two nights receive a third night free, plus a three-course dinner with sparkling wine at the Roadhouse Restaurant Feb. 13 or 14 for an additional $99 for two.

Safari West Wildlife Preserve and African Tent Camp (800-616-2695, www.safariwest.com) is offering a Wild Jungle Love Romantic Safari package that includes a “sex safari” on Feb. 14. The safari features a wine and chocolate reception followed by a safari in an open-air vehicle among some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Thinking of venturing to Alaska but not sure if you want to do it with a bus load of other tourists? For those with an independent spirit, consider this self-drive 7 day/6 night itinerary. Day 1: Anchorage
